It is a genuine point of confusion, because the name is the same and the zip code is the same. Belle Meade Links is a National Register district inside Nashville - 149 properties listed in 2004 - and it is separate from the incorporated City of Belle Meade a few streets away. Metro rules govern here, not the city's own tree removal permit with its arborist report and replacement ratios.
We raise it because homeowners on Windsor and Blackburn have been told by well-meaning neighbors that they need a Belle Meade permit and have delayed work for weeks over it. Plan on a morning for a mature one, longer if the machine has to be walked in and the spoil wheeled out down a narrow side. The wood is dense and the feed rate is deliberately unhurried. A dogwood or a small ornamental in the same garden is a fraction of that and often gets added to the same visit.
Is the grinding noisy for the neighbors?
